TuVox was co-founded in 2000 by Steve Pollock and Ashok Khosla to deliver speech-enabled applications that mimic human-to-human interactions. The company used advanced VoiceXML, Eclipse-based application development tools, and AI techniques to provide automated IVR solutions for inbound and outbound call center operations. TuVox served telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, high technology, retail, media, travel, and energy sectors. Notable clients included American Airlines, British Airways, 1-800-Flowers.com, and USAA. In July 2010, TuVox was acquired by West Interactive, a subsidiary of West Corporation.
