Trolltech was a Norwegian software company that created Qt, a widely-used cross-platform application framework and GUI toolkit written in C++. Founded in Oslo in 1994, it enabled developers to write once and deploy across Windows, macOS, Linux, and embedded systems. Nokia acquired Trolltech in 2008 and rebranded it Qt Software; Digia acquired Qt in 2012, forming the Qt Group.
