Empowering affordable clean mobility in Bangladesh
Tiger New Energy is a Dhaka-based clean mobility company founded in 2021 by Harvard MBA alumni Yiwei Zhu and Nicole Mao. The company operates a battery-swapping-as-a-service network for electric two- and three-wheelers in Bangladesh, providing GPS-embedded lithium-ion batteries that riders can swap at station locations in under one minute. Rather than owning a battery, drivers subscribe to daily battery access, dramatically reducing the upfront cost of EV adoption. Tiger New Energy has over 500 swap partners and 800+ batteries deployed across its network, reducing carbon emissions and supporting Bangladesh's transition to clean mobility.
