ThinkCyte K.K. (シンクサイト株式会社) is a biotechnology company founded in 2016 that develops AI-based cell analysis and sorting instruments. Its flagship product, VisionSort, combines traditional fluorescence flow cytometry with high-dimensional morphological profiling and artificial intelligence to enable label-free cell sorting and unbiased single-cell profiling at record-high throughput rates — a technology based on Ghost Cytometry. VisionSort enables researchers to characterize and sort cells by morphology without the need for labels, unlocking new approaches in cell therapy R&D, drug discovery (phenotypic screening), and disease profiling and biomarker discovery. ThinkCyte operates dual headquarters in Redwood City, California (US commercial hub) and Bunkyo, Tokyo (Japan R&D base), and has received a NEDO Unicorn Grant to accelerate global commercialization.
