StreamingFast (formerly dfuse) is a Canadian blockchain infrastructure company and core developer on The Graph, founded in 2018. The company builds massively scalable open-source software for processing and indexing blockchain data, with two flagship technologies: Firehose and Substreams. Firehose is a blockchain data extraction layer that uses a files-based, streaming-first approach to ingest the full history of blockchains at previously unseen speeds, replacing slow RPC polling with a low-latency push model. Substreams is a blockchain-agnostic, parallelized data transformation engine built on top of Firehose, enabling developers to write composable Rust modules and process blockchain data orders of magnitude faster than traditional subgraph approaches — supporting data sinks including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and flat files. StreamingFast joined The Graph as a Core Developer team in June 2021 and supports over 30 blockchains.
