SQZ Biotechnologies was a Watertown, Massachusetts-based clinical-stage biotechnology company spun out of MIT that developed Cell Squeeze, a microfluidic cell-engineering platform used to create cell therapies for cancer and other diseases. After halting its lead antigen-presenting cell therapy program in 2023, SQZ's shareholders approved a plan in February 2024 to sell substantially all of its assets to STEMCELL Technologies for roughly $11.8 million and dissolve the company, a process completed in March 2024.
