Spore.Bio (Spore Biotechnologies) is a Paris-based deep tech company developing AI-native rapid microbiology testing technology. Its platform combines photonics, machine learning, and microbiology to detect bacterial and microbial contamination in real time — dramatically faster than traditional culture-based methods that take days. The technology targets food and beverage manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, cosmetics producers, and cell and gene therapy developers who require fast, reliable contamination detection to comply with regulatory standards and prevent costly product recalls. Founded in 2022, Spore.Bio raised €29.9 million including a €22 million Series A and a Google.org AI for Science Fund grant, and launched Spore.Labs, an AI-native fundamental research division at the intersection of microbiology, photonics, and artificial intelligence.
