Spectris is a global precision measurement and instrumentation company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Founded in 1915 as the Fairey Aviation Company, it has evolved over more than a century into a leading provider of high-tech instruments, test equipment, analytical software, and simulation solutions. Spectris serves customers across industries including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, metals and mining, energy, and manufacturing, helping them work faster, smarter, and more efficiently to reduce time to market and improve process quality and yield. The company operates through two key divisions — Spectris Scientific and Spectris Dynamics — and its portfolio includes four operating businesses: Malvern Panalytical, Particle Measuring Systems, Servomex, and HBK. Spectris employs approximately 7,000 people across 35 countries. In December 2025, Spectris was acquired by KKR and delisted from the London Stock Exchange.
