SocialRadar was a Washington DC-based mobile app that gave users real-time information about the people and connections around them using geo-location data. Founded by Michael Chasen (co-founder and former CEO of Blackboard), the app aggregated data from major social networks including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Instagram, and Google+ to enable location-based people discovery. SocialRadar raised a $12.75M Series A in 2013 led by New Enterprise Associates, Grotech Ventures, and Swan & Legend Ventures. The company is now deadpooled.
