Sino-Biocan (Shanghai) Biotech Ltd. is a Shanghai-based manufacturer of GMP-grade automated equipment, consumables, and reagents used in cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Its product lines include closed, modularized cell-processing systems (marketed under names such as WUKONG, CELL-VOR, CELL-WAV, and CELL-COL) that handle cell separation, expansion, and recovery, plus disposable consumables — cell separators and cryopreservation/culture bags — and culture media and cryopreservation reagents. Customers include cell and gene therapy drug developers, stem-cell therapy providers, and cord blood banks. The company operates a roughly 5,000 sqm headquarters and production workshop in Shanghai plus a larger second manufacturing base in Jiaxing, Zhejiang (about 7,600 sqm), with combined annual capacity for thousands of equipment units and hundreds of thousands of consumable sets. Sino-Biocan has raised institutional funding across at least two rounds, including a Series A of nearly RMB 100 million led by Grand Flight Investment with participation from Sinovation Ventures, and a similarly sized Series B round in 2024.
