SENSIUS

Sensius is a Dutch medical technology company pioneering precision thermotherapy for oncology, with a focus on head and neck cancer treatment. The company develops a next-generation hyperthermia system — the Focuscore — that delivers controlled microwave-based heating of deep-seated tumors to 42°C, enhancing the efficacy of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy while simultaneously lowering toxicity and improving patients' quality of life. Sensius's patented technology provides high performance in heat focus and control, designed to align seamlessly with existing radiotherapy workflows and deliver positive clinical economics for hospitals. A prototype is already in active use at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. In June 2025, Sensius completed a €15 million funding round to advance its breakthrough cancer thermotherapy toward regulatory approval and randomized clinical trials across Europe and the United States.
