Savage Game Studios

Savage Game Studios was a Berlin-based mobile game development studio founded in 2020 by a team of video game veterans with expertise spanning art, technology, and gameplay across major console and mobile franchises. The studio set out to create ambitious, premium mobile games by leveraging the deep experience of its founding team, which had shipped titles at top-tier studios across the industry. In August 2022, Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Savage Game Studios as part of PlayStation's strategic push into mobile gaming, marking PlayStation's first major mobile studio acquisition. The studio was subsequently rebranded as Neon Koi in November 2023 following the departure of several senior team members including CEO Michail Katkoff.
