Rubitection

Rubitection develops the Rubitect Assessment System, a medical device and AI platform that enables caregivers to detect skin breakdown and pressure injuries at an early stage before visible damage occurs. Founded by Dr. Sanna Gaspard, a Carnegie Mellon University biomedical engineering PhD, the technology uses biophysical measurements to assess subepidermal moisture and tissue health. The system aims to reduce hospital-acquired pressure injuries, which carry significant cost and quality-of-care implications, by giving nursing staff actionable, objective data at the bedside.
