RapidFire AI is an open-source deep learning experimentation platform co-founded by Professor Arun Kumar (UC San Diego CSE and Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute) and Jack Norris. The platform enables AI practitioners to run hyper-parallel experiments—testing 20× to 1,000× more configurations simultaneously on the same compute resources—to find optimal model configurations across accuracy, cost, latency, and trust metrics. RapidFire AI's technology builds on Professor Kumar's award-winning research at UC San Diego, work from which has influenced products at Google, Meta, Oracle, and other major technology companies. The platform addresses the challenge of manual, time-consuming AI configuration tuning by enabling teams to stress-test 1,000+ configurations simultaneously, with side-by-side monitoring that automatically stops underperforming configs and clones high-performing ones.
