Promptec is a pioneer and industry leader in LED lighting, solar lighting, and power electronics solutions based in Bengaluru, India. Founded in 2008, the company established an in-house technology center for the development of LED lights during the emerging stage of LED technology, making it one of the first movers in the Indian market. Promptec's product portfolio spans commercial and industrial LED lighting, solar-powered lighting systems for off-grid and rural applications, and power electronics components. The company delivered more than 2 lakh LED lanterns in solar lighting programs and built a reputation for combining highly efficient energy solutions with affordable pricing. Promptec attracted investment from Blume Ventures and was subsequently acquired by Havells, a leading Indian electrical equipment company, in 2015.
