Polystyvert

Polystyvert (now operating as UpSolv) is a Quebec, Canada-based clean technology company developing a unique dissolution-and-purification process to recycle thermoplastics including polystyrene (PS/HIPS), ABS, and polyolefins (PE, PP, PC). The technology removes contaminants and retains additives to produce custom-purified resins competitive with virgin plastic in cost and quality. A first commercial plant is under development in Quebec to process over 10,000 tonnes of contaminated polystyrene waste annually. The company targets pharmaceutical, packaging, electronics, construction, automotive, and toy industries.
