PlayShifu is an Indian AR (augmented reality) toy company that creates interactive, educational play experiences for children aged 2–12. Founded in 2016 by Dinesh Advani and Vivek Goyal in Bengaluru, the company builds phygital smart-toys that blend physical toys with digital AR technology to deliver STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning through engaging games and narratives. PlayShifu's product portfolio includes over 16 AR-enabled products featuring themes such as space exploration, dinosaurs, animals, and mystery-solving, all designed to make screen time more meaningful and learning more empathetic for children. The company has shipped products to more than one million children worldwide and its annual revenue crossed INR 100 crore. PlayShifu has received backing from Chiratae Ventures, Inventus Capital, Inflexor Ventures, and Bharat Innovation Fund. The company's approach combines expertise in AR technology, game and toy design, and storytelling to serve the growing 'early learning' market globally.
