engineering the future of computing
Peak Quantum develops high-quality quantum processing units (QPUs) based on superconducting qubits, with a unique qubit architecture that achieves lower error rates and offers a direct scaling and cost advantage on the path to error-corrected quantum computing. Spun out of the Walther-Meißner-Institute and TUM's Chair of Technical Physics in 2024, the founding team of 6 built a full-stack quantum lab from scratch during their PhD research and developed a new processor architecture with built-in error protection at the hardware level. The company is headquartered in Garching (Munich area) and has raised over €5M total including a €2.2M seed round in April 2026 backed by Golden Egg Check, QAI Ventures, United Founders, and Cloudberry Ventures.
