Overview Energy is developing satellites that capture continuous sunlight in geosynchronous orbit and beam it to Earth as safe, near-infrared light, which ground-based receivers convert into electricity for existing solar projects. The approach is designed to deliver 24/7 clean power without additional land use, boosting grid reliability and multiplying the output of solar infrastructure already on the grid. The company has demonstrated its approach with a first-of-its-kind airborne power transfer test and was awarded a U.S. Air Force contract.
