Orbit Fab

Orbit Fab was founded in 2018 to eliminate the single-use spacecraft paradigm through in-space refueling. The company builds propellant depots and refueling infrastructure for commercial and government satellites across multiple orbits. Its RAFTI (Rapidly Attachable Fluid Transfer Interface) refueling valve has become an industry standard, enabling cooperative docking and on-orbit refueling. Orbit Fab became the first private company to resupply water to the ISS in 2019 and launched the first commercial fuel depot in LEO in 2021. The company has secured the first commercial satellite refueling services deal and the first U.S. DoD refueling services contract. Backed by investors including Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, Orbit Fab's mission is to build the in-space propellant supply chain that underpins a thriving and sustainable space economy.
