OnForce

OnForce was a Freelancer Management System (FMS) built for the field services industry, enabling enterprises to search for, engage with, manage, and pay non-employee workers and independent contractors. Founded in February 2003 by Jeffrey Leventhal in Lexington, Massachusetts — originally as ComputerRepair.com — the platform evolved into a full marketplace transacting millions of service events by 2005 and was rebranded OnForce in December 2005 following a $15 million Series A raise. The company focused on IT services, consumer electronics, and field technician dispatch, introducing a bi-directional PowerMatch algorithm in 2007 to connect clients with vetted, insured technicians. OnForce was acquired by Adecco Group in August 2014 and subsequently acquired by WorkMarket in 2017.
