NovNat (also known as NovNat Tech Ltd) is a Birmingham, UK-based deep-tech startup developing MOF (metal-organic framework)-enabled atmospheric water harvesting technology for heavy industry and water-scarce environments. The company's proprietary materials capture moisture from air or industrial waste streams using low-grade heat — from sunlight or industrial exhaust — to release and regenerate the stored water, enabling industries to achieve water neutrality. NovNat targets heavy industry, utilities, and sustainability-focused operators seeking to reduce freshwater dependency and meet environmental resilience requirements. Spun out of the University of Birmingham, the company moved to larger premises in 2024 to pilot and scale its technology.
