Newmat Material Technology (新材料科技, Newmater) is a Beijing-based advanced materials company specializing in high-performance nanometer coatings, waterborne industrial coatings, and zero-emission powder coatings. Founded in 2002 and officially registered at the Zhongguancun Nano Industry Base, Newmat has pioneered the industrial application of nano-modified coatings in China — including the first domestic application of green waterborne rail vehicle paint to CRRC Sifang rolling stock and nano self-cleaning coatings used in the National Olympic Village Gymnasium. The company's product portfolio spans waterborne anti-corrosion coatings for oil pipelines and steel structures, powder coatings for photovoltaic panels and composite materials, new nanometer materials under 100 nm diameter for surface treatment, and Lumina™ lightweight transparent front sheets for flexible solar modules. Newmat has led a national key R&D program for green waterborne industrial coatings, earned the China Patent Silver Award, and was recognized as a national 'Little Giant' enterprise by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
