IBM acquired a majority stake in 1997 at a $150 million valuation and took the company public on NASDAQ in 1999. NetObjects sold its core assets to Website Pros (now Newfold Digital/Web.com) in 2001 following the dot-com bust, and was re-established as an independent company in 2009 via a management buyout of the Fusion product line.
