Netezza was a Marlborough, Massachusetts-based company that designed and marketed high-performance data warehouse appliances using massively parallel processing. Founded in 2000, the company was acquired by IBM in 2010 for $1.7 billion and its product line was rebranded as IBM PureData System for Analytics. IBM formally retired the on-premises Netezza appliance in 2019.
