NearVerse was a proximity Internet company based in New York City that developed LoKast, a mobile platform enabling real-time connection, messaging, and media sharing between smartphone users in the same physical location. The platform allowed users to create location-based group chat rooms discoverable by others nearby, share photos, videos, music links, and contacts over WiFi, 3G, and Bluetooth.
