NanoPlume

NANOPLUME develops bio-aerogel, a nanoporous biomaterial that is super-insulating, ultra-light, ultra-thin, and 100% biodegradable and non-toxic. The technology replaces traditional ineffective, heavy, and bulky insulation to increase energy efficiency, space efficiency, and circularity across industries. Key markets include cold chain packaging and trucking (enabling longer-range pharmaceutical and food shipment) and the built environment (enabling thinner walls, reduced material use, and improved thermal comfort). NANOPLUME was founded by Theresa Hoffmann (CEO), Tara Love (CTO), and Tafadzwa Motsi (COO) and is based in Cambridge, UK.
