About

Musicow (뮤직카우) is South Korea's first and largest music copyright trading platform, founded in 2016 and launched as an online beta service in July 2017. Headquartered in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the platform pioneered fractional investment in music royalties, enabling investors to buy and sell stakes in the copyrights of K-Pop and other music through a public auction and secondary marketplace model. Musicow has raised approximately $162.5 million in equity funding and has been designated an innovative financial service by the Korean Financial Services Commission. In January 2025, Jay-Z's Roc Nation partnered with Musicow to launch the first Music Equity Service Provider (MESP) in the United States. The platform also partnered with the Injective blockchain to bring music IP rights on-chain for global investors.
