MUMEC LLC

MUMEC LLC (also stylized MuMec) is a Berkeley, California-based semiconductor startup founded by researchers from UC Berkeley that develops ultra-low-power wireless transceiver integrated circuits for IoT and consumer device applications. The company integrates Radio Frequency MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) technology with standard CMOS IC design, achieving a 10-100x reduction in power consumption compared to conventional wireless chips. MUMEC's products target Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and LoRa/Sigfox low-power wide-area network protocols, enabling IoT devices and wearables to achieve always-on wireless connectivity and extend battery life dramatically. The company received NSF SBIR funding and is recognized as an SBIR/STTR recipient by UC Berkeley's IPIRA office.
