Motor Fuel Group (MFG) is the UK's largest independent forecourt operator, running around 1,200 sites across its MFG and Morrisons networks and ranking as the UK's fifth-largest retailer by store count. Formed in 2011 through a management buy-in led by CEO William Bannister, MFG has grown through acquisitions including Murco Petroleum, 90 Shell-branded stations, MRH's roughly 500 sites, and 337 Morrisons forecourts. Backed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice since 2015, the company combines fuel retail, convenience stores, food-to-go brands such as Greggs and Burger King, and an expanding ultra-rapid EV charging network.
