MetaDAO is a Solana-based platform that replaces traditional DAO governance — votes, Discord polls, and committees — with futarchy, a market-driven mechanism where prediction markets decide whether a proposal will increase or decrease an organization's value. Formally launched in November 2023 by a pseudonymous team including co-founder Proph3t that started out of San Francisco, MetaDAO lets founders launch tokenized, market-governed organizations and has powered an "unruggable" launchpad that has helped projects raise more than $13 million. Futarchy's creator, economist Robin Hanson, joined as an advisor in 2025.
