MeetMe is a social networking and live video platform founded in 2005 (originally as myYearbook) that enables users to discover and connect with new people nearby. The app combines location-based social discovery, free chat, and livestreaming features to help people form friendships and romantic connections. MeetMe is one of several social networking and dating platforms operated by The Meet Group, Inc., which also owns Skout, Tagged, LOVOO, and Growlr. The Meet Group was acquired by NuCom Group in 2020 for approximately $500 million. MeetMe has been operating continuously since 2005, making it one of the longest-running social discovery platforms in the US.
