MaiaEdge is a Burlington, Massachusetts infrastructure company building what it calls Federated Private Networking for the AI era. Its platform pairs a Path Border Controller (dual-100G edge hardware, with an optional Port Extender for capacity) with a cloud-based Path Computation Engine that automates private path provisioning and stands up virtual network-to-network interconnections in minutes, across any transport, carrier, site or cloud and without laying new fibre. The pitch is that distributed AI inference and hybrid cloud workloads exceed what any single operator can serve, while today's interconnection model still relies on manual provisioning and bilateral negotiation; MaiaEdge lets operators extend reach through partners while keeping sovereignty over customers, policies and SLAs. It raised a $20M Series A in February 2026 led by executive management alongside G20 Ventures, and was founded by a team whose prior work includes Acme Packet and 128 Technology, led by CEO and co-founder Abilash Menon.
