Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, the company focused on bringing the power of the ARM Cortex-M3 processor to the embedded and microcontroller market. In May 2009, Texas Instruments acquired Luminary Micro to expand its microcontroller product lineup, integrating the Stellaris product line into TI's portfolio.
