Lithic began in 2014 when its founders launched Privacy, a service offering consumers safe, single-use virtual cards for online payments, and later found that legacy issuer processors could not support their product vision. From that experience the team built Lithic, a modern, developer-friendly card issuing and processing platform with well-documented APIs and direct network and Federal Reserve connections.
