LightSolver

LightSolver is an Israeli deep tech company that has built the world's first pure laser-based processing unit (LPU), a fundamentally new computing paradigm that uses light itself for both computation and memory. Founded by Dr. Ruti Ben Shlomi and Dr. Chene Tradonsky, PhD physicists from the Weizmann Institute of Science, LightSolver harnesses highly multimode laser arrays to solve complex optimization problems at speeds and energy efficiencies far beyond what conventional digital or quantum computers can achieve. The LPU is designed to accelerate high-performance computing workloads including rapid propagation for engineering and scientific modeling, combinatorial optimization via annealing, and eigenvalue solving for structural engineering problems. LightSolver was named a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2025 and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel.
