Lender Processing Services (LPS) was the nation's leading provider of mortgage processing services, settlement services, mortgage performance analytics, and default solutions, serving the largest U.S. mortgage lenders and servicers across the entire loan lifecycle. LPS was spun off from Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) via a July 2008 IPO and headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2013, Fidelity National Financial acquired LPS for about $2.9 billion, and the business later evolved into Black Knight Financial Services, now part of ICE Mortgage Technology.
