kooky is a Zurich-based smart infrastructure provider for reusable food packaging, offering an intelligent digital cup system designed to replace single-use disposable cups at cafes, coffee shops, and food-on-the-go venues. The system enables customers to borrow reusable cups via a simple digital checkout and return them to any participating location, where kooky handles the cleaning and redistribution logistics. The kooky reusable cup becomes CO₂-positive after just 7 use cycles, and by 2023 the system had saved over 100,000 disposable cups; the company has raised €6M in funding.
