Komemtec Co., Ltd. is a South Korean environment specialty company founded in 2007, headquartered in Yeonggwang-gun, that pioneered PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane manufacturing technology in Korea. The company develops and manufactures a range of advanced filtration and membrane products including HEPA and ULPA filters for semiconductor cleanrooms (achieving 99.995–99.9995% filtration efficiency for ultrafine dust particles of 0.1–0.3 μm), industrial filters for thermal power plants, steel mills, incinerators, and cement plants, as well as reinforced composite membranes and MEA (membrane electrode assemblies) for PEM fuel cell systems. Komemtec was the first company in Korea to apply electrolyte membrane reinforced composite membranes to fuel cell systems, enabling more than 70% efficient power production. The company also produces PTFE-based applications for cleanroom environments, including PODs, masks, and cap seals.
