KitLocate was an Israeli mobile location technology startup that developed an energy-efficient geolocation SDK for iOS and Android developers. Founded in 2011 in Tel Aviv, Israel, KitLocate platform enabled developers to make their apps location-aware with features including geo-fencing, motion detection, push notifications, and social location — all while consuming less than 1% battery per hour through proprietary algorithms. The platform was used in applications ranging from parking management to location-based marketing analytics. The eight-person team won the Israel Advanced Technology Industries and MasterCard Israel Technology Award in 2012.
