K Pharma is a Keio University School of Medicine spin-off dedicated to iPS drug discovery and regenerative medicine for intractable neurological diseases and spinal cord injuries. Founded in November 2016 by Komei Fukushima with Professors Hideyuki Okano and Masaya Nakamura, it commercializes nerve-regeneration research in close partnership with Keio. iPS programs include an ALS candidate that completed the first two clinical-trial phases, with a third phase planned, plus expansion to other neurological diseases. Regenerative-medicine work focuses on sponsor-initiated subacute SCI trials, with later plans for chronic SCI and cerebral infarction treatments.
