Discover, create and share step-by-step how-to videos
Jumprope was a how-to video creation platform founded in 2017 by Jake Poses (formerly VP of Product at Thumbtack) and Travis Johnson. The platform offered an iOS app that helped creators make structured, step-by-step instructional videos using looping GIFs with voice-over for each phase. Content ranged from cooking and beauty to crafts and parenting. Creators could export guides in multiple aspect ratios for Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and other platforms. The company raised a $4.5M seed round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. LinkedIn acquired Jumprope in August 2021 to expand its creator tools.
