Jumpchat

Jumpchat was a cross-platform mass messaging platform that bridged mobile text messages, email, and instant messaging communication without requiring users to download any software. Users could send mass messages across any of the supported platforms and Jumpchat would automatically route the message to whichever platform the recipient had activated. The company focused primarily on mass mobile messaging, allowing users to organize contacts into groups and send bulk messages simultaneously. Founded in 2006 as part of Y Combinator's Summer 2006 batch and based in San Francisco, Jumpchat was founded by Julia West and is now inactive.
