Institute for Protein Innovation

The Institute for Protein Innovation (IPI) is a nonprofit protein research institute located on the Harvard Medical School campus, founded to advance protein science and accelerate biomedical research. Rather than operating for profit, IPI is motivated by scientific need and impact, using lab automation and innovative technologies to achieve high-throughput production of high-quality synthetic recombinant antibodies at scale. The institute also engages a global community of researchers through a unique community validation model that tests the real-world applicability of its tools, and provides scientists access to protein tools and learning opportunities to empower groundbreaking research.
