Imperative Care

Imperative Care is a commercial-stage medical device company in Campbell, California, founded in 2015 by Fred Khosravi and Dr. Nick Hopkins, developing interventional devices for stroke and other vascular diseases. Its Zoom Stroke System pairs intracranial access and aspiration catheters with continuous dual aspiration for ischemic-stroke clot removal, while the Symphony and Prodigy thrombectomy systems address venous thromboembolism and acute limb ischemia; a Telos robotic platform is in development. Customers are hospitals and the neurointerventional and vascular specialists who perform these procedures. The company has raised roughly $596 million in total, including a Series E of up to $150 million led by Ally Bridge Group (initial close July 2024) and a $100 million financing announced in March 2026 led by Elevage Medical Technologies and Perceptive Advisors.
