Immortal Game is a Paris-based Web3 startup that built a play-and-earn chess platform combining NFT chess pieces, a marketplace, and play-to-earn reward mechanics. Players compete using collectible NFT pieces of varying rarity, earn tokens based on leaderboard rankings, and trade pieces on Immortal Game's marketplace for ETH. The platform uses Immutable X as its Layer-2 solution on Ethereum. In September 2022, the company raised a $12 million Series A round led by TCG Crypto, with participation from Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman's 35V, Kraken Ventures, Greenfield One, and others — bringing total funding to $15.5 million.
