HotDrop

HotDrop was a Techstars and venture-backed music discovery platform that connected undiscovered artists with superfans. Founded by a team of Gen-Z music enthusiasts, HotDrop addressed the generational shift in music discovery by enabling 30-second song snippets for rapid discovery and social sharing, driving high virality for emerging artists. The platform included HotDrop Studio, a web tool for artists to release music, manage songs, and receive detailed analytics. Within two days of launch the app garnered over 25,000 downloads and ranked 7th on the App Store. HotDrop was acquired by The Beam in December 2024.
