Home Biosciences was a Paris-based biotech venture builder founded in 2019 by David Schilansky and Dr. Magali Richard, backed by Redmile Group and Sofinnova Partners. The company pioneered a hub-and-spoke asset-centric operating model in Continental Europe, partnering with leading academic scientists to identify ground-breaking research, then assembling dedicated execution teams and providing funding and operational infrastructure to co-found and scale independent biotech companies. Over five years, Home Biosciences co-founded three portfolio companies: One Biosciences (single-cell molecular profiling for oncology), Sequantrix (anti-fibrotic drug discovery), and Apikal Therapeutics. The company closed a $15 million seed financing round in 2021. Home Biosciences ended day-to-day operations in January 2025 and transitioned to a non-operating holding mode focused on building value for its portfolio companies.
