Higlobe was founded in 2020 by Teymour Farman-Farmaian (CEO), formerly of Google and Spotify, and Jeff Bolton (CTO), with a mission to move the world's money instantly and at no cost. Teymour experienced firsthand the transaction-fee losses of international payments while leading Google's European expansion and later as CMO at Spotify, while Jeff saw the difficulty of paying overseas employees and freelancers for engineering work.
