Founded in 2009 in Estonia by Hardi Meybaum and Indrek Narusk, GrabCAD relocated its headquarters to Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2011 and was acquired by 3D printing leader Stratasys in September 2014. Under Stratasys, GrabCAD expanded into 3D printing workflow software including GrabCAD Print (free preparation software for Stratasys printers) and GrabCAD Shop (print shop management). GrabCAD Workbench, the collaborative CAD version-control product, was shut down in June 2023.
